Our autism diagnosis services aim to provide thorough assessments, helping children receive the necessary support for their developmental needs.

Our Diagnostic Process

1. Initial Consultation
Get in touch with a case manager to provide insurance information and schedule your initial appointment.
2. Clinical Interview
A one-hour session with our psychologist to discuss your child'shistory and behaviors.
3. Telehealth Assessments
Further tests including an adaptive skills assessment and observation of your child’s interactions with caregivers, all via telehealth.
4. Self-Report Measures
Families will complete online questionnaires through a secureportal.
5. Comprehensive Evaluation
On average, appointments with the psychologist total 4
hours, ensuring a detailed understanding of your child's needs.
6. Diagnostic Report
A comprehensive report detailing the diagnosis, complete with recommendations for next steps, regardless of an ASD diagnosis.
7. Results Consultation
A meeting to discuss evaluation outcomes and specific treatment recommendations, followed by a digital copy of the diagnostic report for treatment initiation.
8. Efficient Process
The entire diagnostic journey, including assessments and report preparation, is completed in 1-2 weeks.
9. Ongoing Support
Our psychologists remain available for any questions post-evaluation.
Requirements for Telehealth Evaluations
  • An internet connection.
  • A private space in your home for conducting evaluations.
Telehealth Evaluation Components
  • A detailed clinical interview with the caregiver.
  • Adaptive functioning assessments and observational interactions between caregiver and child.
  • A thorough explanation of diagnosis results and treatment recommendations.

About Dr. Angela Capuano

Dr. Angela Capuano is a distinguished figure in the field of psychology, holding dual credentials as a licensed clinical psychologist and a BCBA. With a rich background in psychologicaland behavioral assessments, Dr. Capuano has dedicated her career to improving the lives of individuals through a variety of therapeutic approaches. Her expertise includes the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, with a history of providing expert diagnostic evaluations since 2009.

Dr. Capuano's commitment extends beyond clinical practice to academia and mentorship, serving as adjunct faculty in the ABA program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and mentoring for Michigan LEND. An upcoming author and scholar, her work continues to contribute to the field's body of knowledge, particularly in evidence-based practices.
