Did Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Have Autism Or Asperger's?

Based on Mozart's very unique talent for music and his occasional strange behaviors, we can assume he had a slight amount of autism spectrum disorder.

Did Mozart Have Autism?

Although it's unknown, most experts agree that musical expert Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was somewhere on the autism spectrum.

Mozart was a child prodigy, to say the least, and he had perfect musical memory and an ability to read music.

Interestingly, his hearing was so sensitive that loud sounds would make him physically ill. In fact, that is a telltale indicator that he was autistic.

Mozart was allegedly very sensitive to loud noises, had a short attention span, and could complete a cycle of facial expressions within just seconds.

One well-documented incident involved Mozart doing cartwheels over tables while meowing loudly like a cat.

In short, although nobody knows for sure if Mozart had autism or Asperger's, we can assume based on his very unique talent for music and his occasional strange behaviors, that he had a slight amount of autism spectrum disorder.
