We share your commitment to providing children and families with the highest level of care. We specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism, with programs designed to improve communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.

Why Refer to Golden Steps?

  • ABA therapy is backed by decades of research as the most effective intervention for autism. Our treatment is provided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), so you can feel confident that your patients are getting care that meets rigorous professional standards. Our regional Quality Assurance teams monitor every aspect of treatment—from accuracy and fidelity to insurance compliance—so you can refer with confidence.

The Process

What to Expect

By making a direct referral, you help families navigate the complexities of diagnosis, therapy, and insurance, ensuring they receive the right support from the start. Here is what you can expect a patient’s ABA journey to look like.
1
Diagnosis
A psychologist or other qualified provider conducts a comprehensive evaluation to confirm an autism diagnosis.
2
Insurance Authorization
We handle insurance verification and prior authorization to ensure ABA therapy is covered.
3
Evaluation
A BCBA assesses the child’s behavior and skills, then creates a personalized treatment plan. (Clinic-based services are typically available for children ages 6 and under; age eligibility may vary by location.)
4
Staff Matching
We match the child with an RBT whose experience and approach align with their needs.
5
Therapy Begins
The RBT implements the BCBA’s treatment plan, and therapy gets underway.
6
Parent Training
Parents receive ongoing education and support so progress continues beyond therapy sessions.

Outcomes

We continuously monitor outcomes and adjust the treatment plan to ensure the child keeps improving.
